Programme Audit

 

On of the greatest challenges for a business sponsor is to understand, objectively, whether the transformation programme he or she has embarked upon is on-track to deliver and more importantly, whether it will (still) make any money.

 

Maddison Ward have developed over many years a structured approach to measuring a programme's liklihood of delivery and its prospects for delivering a return on investment.  Using structured interviews with key stakeholders, as well as programme team members, we are able to build a comprehensive picture of a programme's health and offer remedial actions against areas where that programme may not be performing optimally.
 

Commercial Management

 

Managing technology vendors in complex engagements is frequently challenging, even for the largest organisations.  Maddison Ward consultants are able to bridge the gap between the client and the supplier, as our consultants have all had experience of both.  We are also skilled in negotiation, vendor management and contract definition.  We use innovative techniques to accelerate procurement, including roadshows, iLabs, "collaborative engagement" and "competitive dialogue" to ensure your suppliers delvery precisely what you want, when you want it and provide maximum value for money.

 

 
Governance

 

Maddison Ward have a full range of governance and programme processes, in our "Nine Dimensions" offering.  This is a set of pre-packaged processes and collateral that provide everything a programme needs, from RAID logs to Quality Plans to deliver a programme successfully.  This package builds on the standard "Prince 2" delivery model and has been refined over many years to provide a programme with a simple, easy to use and easy to tailor package which will deliver fit-for-purpose processes for even the largest transformation programme.

 


 

Programme Recovery

 

It is not uncommon for large, complex business or technology transformations to diverge from plan or worse, stall altogether.  Creating and maintaining momentum in a large and complex undertaking is a significant challenge for many organisations.  Maddison Ward use a structured approach to regaining momentum in a stalled programme and pulling it back onto plan.  We have a high success rate in gaining focus and colallesing a team towards delivering a successful outcome.  Recovery and Turnaround services are the most challenging of programme management disciplines and Maddison Ward consultants provide the necessary high calibre of leadership to make it happen.

 
Coaching, Mentoring and Training

 

At Maddison Ward, we don't believe it is good enough to stick people on a training course for a week, then sit them in front of a mutiple choice exam and call them "project managers".

 

At Maddison Ward, we beleive that a training course is just the start of an ongoing programme of people development which involves coaching, mentoring and providing advice and guidance through the early phases of their project management or programme management career.
